Would you PLEASE edit my statement so that it states what you think it should state? If I presumed incorrectly about the fuel/energy for your 1E8, please state what it was. If you want to give the number equivalent to 1E8 for pB11 @550keV, please do. Either way is fine with me.

Also, in relation to neutrals -- even if Bussard was way off on the ionization times, I don't think you can have neutrals in the WB area for very long, just because they aren't confined by anything (unlike ions and electrons, which are confined both by each other and the magnetic field). Any neutrals that don't get ionized at startup are going to head for the area of 1e4x lower pressure outside the WB like water in a sponge being squeezed (the hand confines the sponge, but not the water).
n*kBolt*Te = B**2/(2*mu0) and B^.25 loss scaling? Or not so much? Hopefully we'll know soon...

Generally knowledgable individuals have provided answers from as low as 60 [1] to as high as 1E8 [2] for pB11 at ~550keV. The lower presumes an effective cross section that produces a 90 degree RMS scattering, while the larger includes each and every glancing interaction.
