A laser is LIGHT amplifaction. There is no light here. This is the classic PHASER. Duh!

It's the "laser" they used in The Core.
Dr Braz has also developed a laser capable of quickly boring through solid rock.

Close in Automated Neighbour's Dog Control System. If he crosses into the defended zone lay to lay a mine, he gets Phononed. Or, is it Phoned?
