War On Drugs Likely Increased The Number Of Addicts

Post by Jccarlton »

It certainly did nothing to decrease those numbers and in the end was nothing but a huge waste of resources:

As for profiting from the drug trade, well, you are better off working for Mcds than being a foot soldier in a drug gang:

I think it says something about how economically sterile Progressive ideas have rendered our cities that you can't even make money dealing illegal drugs.

The experience of Holland (marijuana), Switzerland (heroin), and Portugal (everything) indicates that prohibition is a vector for spreading drug use.

That basically tells you what the minimum market clearing wage should be.

It doesn't help that the government run Cocaine Importation Agency is promoting and distributing drugs to the inner cities.

Anybody hear about a kid named Aaron Schwartz, nearly got 35 years for copywrite violation/illegal downloading, before he killed himself. His father blames the government, same government that let HSBC's exec's off the hook for money laundering $300 Billion from Mexican drug cartels. It's easy to just say there are two sets of laws, but in the internet era, it becomes less avoidable. Some day, we will have technology that allows everyone in the world to read everybody elses mind in real time, hiding corruption is going to become impossible.
