Are you kidding!? Krivit is obsessed man as Rossi; such people may not have friends; they do channel their energy differently: Krivit wants to prove his "scientific" merit (who cares), while Rossi' goal is more productive...
Not sure entirely what you're saying, but I've found Krivit to be a rather thorough investigator. He actually was a Rossi supporter until he visited and debunked the demonstration he witnessed. He's also been a McKubre supporter until he noticed ever changing data being presented. Honestly, he's a huge supporter of LENR and one heck of a PR person for it.

I haven't seen any obsession of Krivit's so far. He presents facts, asks pertinent questions, and allows those reading to come to their own conclusion. Furthermore, he seems to know when to move on and stop harping on an old story when he stopped reporting anything positive or negative about Rossi. He allows the evidence to speak for itself and so far it has spoken rather poorly of Rossi.

This one is good. Rossi at his best.

So many contradiction threads in this one I won't even bother to start with them...

To go to a COP 200 is extremely dangerous, and when I worked at those powers it happened that we had some escape of neutrons, in some situation.

At least Rossi is trying to make money and to get recognition in the process; I would call it a productive activity irrelevantly what stays behind: delusion/wishful-thinking or genuine findings (matter of discussion). While Krivit has bunch of complexes... Anyway, the LENR tech is claimed to be available for testing for investors so it is really difficult to lose money for investors with common sense while stupids deserve to lose money; thus, it's a win-win (& productive) scenario irrelevantly if it is delusion or real tech.

In the process of what - fraud? Cause that wouldn't be any more defensible than Krivit. Unless I misunderstood the gist of what Krivit's done.

Rossi's blog comments are botlike:

no 1: (for positive comments)
"A very good question. I cannot say more. sphinx-like virtual smile".

no 2: (for negative comments, randomly chosen from below):
A: "We have a theory about this which cannot be disclosed while patents are pending"
B: "We have a solution which is in commercial confidence and cannot be disclosed"
C: "The snakes are jealous of our development and have spread propaganda and lies. Don't listen to them, they know nothing".

The great advantage is that these replies require no technical knowledge, and cannot be faulted. Rossi's problems have been whenever he elaborates the bot-script and actually makes a technical or business statement. This is then found to be inconsistent with previous statements.

Apparently you do not realize what a dolt may make such comment...

Rossi is not a con artist (few people may argue that) I'm quite sure he genuinely believes that he has stumbled upon a "new fire"

how can you possibly know he is not a con artist?
do you know him personally?

I don't know for sure if he is a con artist but on paper he satisfies many criteria for being a con artist.

You are giving him too much credit ;o)
Too sophisticated, too complex, too long, too risky, too many people are involved; If it is a con scheme... well, with such abilities he could make money a way safer and faster; frankly I do think he is a quite simple Edisonian type of man. Likely, he did stumble upon some LENR effect, he has no idea how it works (no one does) as well as his background is not up to the task; he tries to make the best out of it according to his abilities. How strong this LENR effect, how much it is exaggerated is still unclear, we'll see...

Nobody likes to admit they were wrong, especially if they embelished their claims. I leave the possibility that Rossi miscalculated, made a claim, and is now stuck in his claim until the truth comes out. I definitely think he'd owe it to all those that followed him if it were a mistake, to tell the truth.

It is clearly possible yet, at this point, seems unlikely; the main reason is that Rossi is still quite active - it requires money, with available tech claimed to have COP above 2 it is difficult to imagine investors incapable to verify it. You may fool "investors" with promises to achieve breakeven in the ~near-future especially if it is a tax money at risk; it is a way more challenging to do with tech claimed to have COP 2+ today with private $$.
Surely it is not entirely impossible but it is the most non lucrative con scheme. No need to jump to any conclusion just wait...

It is a good example. The time is going on and still there is no apparent development so it is getting more probable to be a BS or at least a totally unpractical (for some reasons) tech. I should admit, the first time I learned about BL my first reaction was - total nonsense and I did not even follow what was going on with BL; not sure what its current status.
