Not anymore. They have a mixed bag now. It makes for a planning headache, but not a real problem. The only real issue with it is when you are laying down the Operational Fires plan, you have to consider that you may get Solid Fuel system use, because some genius thinks using it is better than losing it. Just requires a slightly higher degree of fires synch to clean them out before someone can 'press the button' and get one off. With liquid you get a much wider window, cause they have to gas them up first. And, once gassed up, most systems don't like to stay that way. Some can not even be ungassed. So there is a reluctance to fuel up if you are not going to launch. This gives opportunity in Fires planning as it provides a broader window to hit targets. Either way, it doesn't drive the overall equation that much when you get down to it. Really, it just means the other guy is going to lose more stuff sooner because you want to deny opportunity of use.

Looks like Iran is trying to deliver weapons and munitions to Syria, again.
It would be very interesting to see if the KHARG gets mysteriously sunk after an unexplained explosion while transiting north.

Seems they got the message that Turkey would no longer allow them to ship or fly arms cargo that way.
