Merry Christmas and Happy Saturnalia!

Post by Diogenes »

Merry Christmas everybody!

I don't put up with politically correct nonsense, so if it offends the liberals I say Fantastic!

But let us not fool ourselves though, the practice of celebrating the birth of Christ on Christmas really has nothing to do with Christianity. It is a leftover pagan holiday from the Roman Era.

A lot of Christian pomp and circumstance is left over bits and pieces from earlier pagan stuff. Easter is another example, but whatever. Here in America people grew up celebrating the way they do, so now it has become a Tradition!

I am an atheist, but I still celebrate christmas as a christian holiday. I consider it part of my culture and tradition to do that.

If people get all politically correct with you just tell them you sympathize with those who have fallen victim to neurolinguistic programming. That'll confuse 'em, merry Christmas. :D :D :D
