Until new measurements were obtained, researchers were not able to observe the very rapid change in edge turbulence which occurs in less than a millisecond over a zone less than 1cm thick.
Until a steady state machine is built, I worry that plasma weirdness might manifest in time scales longer than the test shots. My complete lack of expertise in plasmas though likely trumps my personal discomfort.
