So basically, this splinter group from AlQ, the LIFG, that was once aligned with AlQ has rewritten the Jihadists book because they said it was on the wrong track and should never target civilians, &C., &c., seen by the west as a significant development to moderate AlQ.
Oh well, let's flush that opportunity down the shit-pan.....

Nobody is arguing about LIFG and its existance. The real question is why Ghaddafi chose to support it. Altruistic is not a word that comes to mind.
