The Paul supporters, every one of them, were far more solicitous of her safety in restraining her than would be police officers or the secret service.

I see another thread has be hijacked by political rants. Oh well, here is my rant, certainly worth less than 2 cents.
Was the woman a provocateur and did she take actions that could reasonably be considered as a threat? Probably
Should the police have intervened? Probably
Did the individual that wrestled her to the ground act appropiatly? Probably
Did the man standing to the side that placed his foot on her neck then shoved down act appropriately? No
Did he cause physical harm to the woman? I seriously doubt it.
Might he have done so if his actions were not abbreviated by the cameras and others? I fear so.
Was the R. Paul campaign embarrassed? Yes.
Did the Rand Paul campaign distance themselves adequately? Yes, then No (they kept his donations)
Was the press coverage appropriate? Again, yes and no. It needed exposure, but the selective elements are biased. It is getting to the point that press coverage is like a trial. You need to see the presentation from both sides, then the viewer is inappropriately forced to act as a juror and decide the merits. Either that, of accept the presentation that best fits your world view.

The scary thing is, if you read through it, trying to grasp what that world view is, he'll start to make sense.
