GIThruster,

Commercial espionage for gain has always happened at the margins. It is frowned upon (except at the highest levels) but hardly ever (maybe never) is prosecuted.

I suspect all those sources to be in the pay of the North Korean Communists.
Look, I am always sceptical whenever someone gives "a great book" by some "great dude" as the source for his believes.
It is a reflex. It reminds me to much of all sorts of nonsense that is floating arround. E.g. my neighbour recently recommended that we all drink our urin "to become much healthier", because he read that in "a great book" by some "great dude". Now, I dont need to have an urologist for a father to know that this is nonsense.
Just as an example. It may be unfair und unjustified, but please forgive me that I am not content with unverifyable claims made by a single source. Also, this was another discussion in another thread. I think it is unfair and confusing to bring this over to this thread.

The book is a collection of facts from a person who originally argued for limited access to handguns. He comes from a scholarly background so his sources are no doubt documented.

If it was just an opinion like:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
It might carry less weight. Or maybe not.

You don't have to worry about a Russian spy taping your phone line, or even the U.S. government, that would be illegal, and just plain wrong. No, that's done by your friends in NATO.

The way it works is, Canada's spy agency eavesdrops on the entire U.S. telephone system, and the U.S. agency does the same with the Canadian phone system. In the Canadian system, an American liason officer will ask the Canadian agents if they have any intel on U.S. citizens of interest, and our spies go to work tapping your phone line to provide the requested info.

After all, what are friends for.

Just thought I`d share.

Yeah and the US and the Britts are tapping into the phones and email of everyone in the EU and god knows where else. You are right, what are friends for?
