The purpose of this report is to investigate the reflection physics for the high-energy Bremsstrahlung radiation emission characterized in p-11B DPF fusion.

Heck of a list.

Wall ablation at 1E5 K (about 10 eV).

Miley was on the list so EMC2 was effectively covered.

I'd bet they commissioned the study because they want to use a DPF for a spaceplane. This is one of many studies done to that end, many of which have Frank Mead's name on them (not as author, but as project manager.)

I find extremely interesting that also Dr. Tajmar was included in the list.

He made lot of research in space propulsion in the past, and he has the credibility and contacts to get founds to actually make real tests.

Might be a good alternate research project for him in case his coming tests on the gravitomagnetic effect will not bring the expected results.

Buzz Aldrin?

Don't see any FRC guys on here, either.
Despite the advantages of multilayer structures over single element
layers, such as a greater energy band of reflectance, multilayer structures would not be able to
handle the incoming energy flux levels characteristic of the p-11B pinch; and it is unclear whether
low Z materials or cooling methods could aid. This is due in part to the lack of theory and
experiment in cooling methods in DPF-like environments.
You don't say.
n*kBolt*Te = B**2/(2*mu0) and B^.25 loss scaling? Or not so much? Hopefully we'll know soon...

@Talldave: :D

Simon: I saw George Miley on there, but given the large cast of characters, why not Nebel or Parks directly?
It is not like they are unknown to many of the folks listed.

These things typically get sent to those who have been in general communication with the authors or who have specifically asked. I suspect Dr. N. didn't ask.

I would guess Nebel, Park, etc aren't on there for the same reason you don't see Rostoker or Monkhorst -- they don't really work in DPF.

I don't know all the names there. I wonder if any are tok first-wall guys? Not really the same problem, but still. Those diverters are apparently going to take a beating.
