I would agree this type of regulation is not needed, and can be abused. I would even say unconstitutional under the 4th amendment.

I'll go beyond kcdodd and predict that this bill will be rammed through, with dirty deals if needed, and will be abused. Expect every person of wealth who dares to speak against the regime to be investigated using these powers.

Well they already forced one swiss bank to rat on all their american clients numbered accounts.

I remember in the 90's when they tried to pass the "Know Your Customer" rule that required banks report all customer transactions over 500 dollars. I went to my bank and asked if they were complying with that rule. When they said yes, I pulled all my money out of my account and told them to call me when they told the govt to shove it, I wouldn't deposit a dime with them until they did so.
