I can think of nothing more stupid than squelching venture capital right now. Startups need access to people willing to risk their money and the economy needs the new good and services those startups will create to grow and prosper.
Why My Sen. Dodd needs to go:
I was meaning to do a post here on this.
But you beat me to it. So here is a link:

Engineering is the art of making what you want from what you can get at a profit.
Sorry, I forgot HT you. Dodd is my Senator and as far as I am concerned he outlived his position decades ago, let alone now. As far as I know his poll number are tanked, but his opposition isn't really that strong.MSimon wrote:I was meaning to do a post here on this.

Dodd is a fascist just like his daddy. Old story, but one that the liberals steadfastly keep out of the wikipedia article on him, but old Senator Dodd picked up a copy of the Nazi era National Weapons Law that was used to disarm the Jews while he was a Nuremburg prosecutor. When he returned to the US, he later had his copy of this despicable law translated by the Legislative Research Service (this is well documented) and used the translation, with recommended adaptations the service made to conform with our legal system (i.e. common law vs the civil code the Germans use), which then became the Gun Control Act of 1968 while he was chairman of the subcommittee on youth violence.Jccarlton wrote:Sorry, I forgot HT you. Dodd carries on his daddy's same gun grabbing agenda.
