Global Warming Fears Lead To Double Murder-Suicide

Post by TallDave »

Ironically, that's three more people than have been killed by global warming itself.

Clearly these people were mentally ill anyway, but there are some distant echoes of Jonestown here. Some poor gullible fools are taking the apocalyptic rhetoric way too seriously, esp. the overpopulation parts. Not that Al Gore will apologize or anything.
n*kBolt*Te = B**2/(2*mu0) and B^.25 loss scaling? Or not so much? Hopefully we'll know soon...

Should this be considered evolution in action?

CO2 doesn't kill people. People kill people.

Darwin kills people, as surely as Newton invented gravity.

Well if you'd ever been to Darwin, you'd understand that your first phrase is true.

I presume you are talking about Darwin, NT.

I rather think those who choose to go there have already lost some brain stem function. That is a crazy place in summer/autumn, you're right. I don't know how people live there. They are as tough as lizards in that place, and due respect must be paid to their ability to "survive" there.

This was spotted on Yahoo News yesterday, and has to be one of the most insulting comments against Australians I have ever seen:

"Australian residents urged to flee 18-metre flames" SYDNEY (AFP)

http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20100301/wl ... 0301073830

So obviously, needing to be urged to flee a 60-ft high wall of flames suggests Darwin in action. Although really it makes me wonder how some headline writers survive selection.

No immediate adverse selection pressure.
