I'd be more interested in nerve taps along the spine - there's evidence to support a lot of processing related to motion and reflex is done outside of the brain. I guess I'd also need taps on the optic nerve and such... But attaching directly to my grey matter is probably out. I agree with kunk, it's probably easier to fix a screw up on a peripheral nerve than one in the CNS.

If you're not ready to get chipped, I'd recommend some supplements/herbs. Type and amount will depend on your particular biochemistry, but you might consider some combination of these to reduce inflammation/pain, improve circulation, and/or reduce free radicals (I've had a few bang-ups myself):
Inositol hexaphosphate (IP-6)
Goldenseal root
CoQ10
Turmeric
Cayenne (minimally-processed hot sauce)
Cilantro (fresh)
Resveratrol (red wine)

Red wine has miniscule amounts of bioavailable resveratrol. Leave medical advice to the experts.

You didn't read the fine print (1-pixel font). I'm not a doctor, I just play one on aneutronic fusion forums. Well, anyway, there's still the French paradox...

OK, as long as it never gets connected to the internet, cell networks, satellites, etc. We can trust them not to do that, right? "Cloud" control, anyone?

It's related to "crowd" computing.
