Thing is, Drug Prohibition was built on a similar tissue of lies. The lies have been similarly debunked. But Prohibition lives on.
Maybe they thought – “well if we have pulled this off, we can pull that off as well” CAGW and the Drug War are mirror images of each other.
At the street level each side is convinced of the sanctity of its motives and the perversity of the opposition.

Lead survey botanist, Ian Strachan, said: "Many of the rare arctic-alpine species we are searching for are relics from soon after the last ice age.
This is how ice ages start – a buildup of snow which does not melt in the Summer, which leads to a positive feedback loop, as the growing ice sheet reflects more and more sunlight back into space.
