60 Minutes covers Benghazi.
60 Minutes covers Benghazi.
"Contrary to early WH statements, Benghazi was a planned, sophisticated attack by Al Qaeda against the barely protected American compound."

Guess they figure there's no real benefit to covering up for Obama any more. Once that becomes accepted by the media, the daily WH press briefings are likely to get very interesting...

Identify the question Lara never asked.
We need a directorate of science, and we need it to be voted on only by scientists. You don't get to vote on reality. Get over it. Elected officials that deny the findings of the Science Directorate are subject to immediate impeachment for incompetence.

Here's the question, you obviously haven't a clue:
"What did the Ambassador say to higher-up? Did he ask for more security? Was he refused?"
Disgusting.

And here we go now, it appears the main "witness" lied:
http://thecable.foreignpolicy.com/posts ... al_witness
So more fables about Benghazi. Wonder who paid for this one?

FAUX NEWS is ignoring the CBS retraction probably because their viewers wouldn't want to hear the truth.
I wonder how many of this sites Benghaziites will speak up?

Re: 60 Minutes covers Benghazi.
Fox mentioned the CBS piece, but they had already done several hours worth of documentary on Benghazi, and 60 Minutes didn't find anything new. Fact is, the CBS piece still didn't point out the real issues involved, namely that:
a) The preparation for possible violence reflected a broken foreign policy and ignored the warnings by various security professionals and the Ambassador who was then killed--liability that such that should any corporation so bear, would be sued into non-existance.
b) There were forces in range to aid our people but OBama decided not to send them and in fact ordered them to sand down. There is no one else authorized to make the decisions made that night. POTUS hung our people out to die alone because he didn't want a political reaction to his failed policies just before the election.
c) The White House orchestrated a complex series of lies for weeks, months and years afterward in order to induce people to vote for OBama. This is fraud in the inducement and again, anyone outside government who did such a thing would incur enormous civil and criminal liability and in fact be imprisoned were they caught so red-handed.
Given CBS covered the story more than a year late, and only devoted 14 minutes to it compared to several hours on Fox, what did you want Fox to say about CBS?

looks like it happened

why the State Department turned down a request in August that a special military security team extend its stay in the region, and why U.S. officials relied so heavily on local security tied to militias, a concern Stevens himself had flagged.

Re: 60 Minutes covers Benghazi.
If you'll recall the congressional testimony of Deputy Greg Hicks, Stevens had made complaints about the lack of security from the time he took the post, and Clinton refused requests for more security because the White House wanted to portray Libya as a country at peace as result of POTUS' foreign policy. In fact, it was not and is not at peace and it's hard to make the case that things are any better off for us having blown up so much stuff. The only improvement is the French have secured their oil supply. We never had a reason to attack that related to our own national security, and the Libyans still don't like us.
Also if you'll recall, CNN had Stevens' personal journal and did not make known its contents until after the election, because in it is ample evidence that Stevens always felt there was a huge security threat. According to Hicks' testimony and the journal, Stevens repeatedly asked for more security and was denied for what was assuredly political reasons.
BTW, note that this kind of Clinton stupidity is exactly what cost so many soldiers their lives during the Blackhawk Down incident, because dopey Billy ordered they not use their AC130 Spectre Gunships nor their APC's, again, for entirely political reasons.
Some people never learn.

Re: 60 Minutes covers Benghazi.
So CBS bot only showed to the party 14 months late (in order to support the OBama campaign) but then it single sourced it's material. This isn't as bad as the stuff from Dan Rather years ago, but it's pretty sad and stupid. I haven't watched CBS news since Rather explained he had been taking instructions from the ghost of Edward R. Murrow.
