You whine about 2005 or something, and ignore the Death Spiral.

Obvious denial. Not even anywhere near reasonable science skepticism; just denial like YECs denying Darwin or Kochs denying Keynes.

choff, you don't get to vote on reality. Certainly no vote you have is in any way comparable to a atmospheric or oceanic geophysicist's with regard to climate.

It's like asking the Catholic Church for the Babble's explanation of the Great Red Spot on Jupiter. Or asking whether the Koran has the coordinates of the center of the galaxy.

Actually we've improved on Galileo's time, were he stood entirely alone against the opinion of his day, the peer review boys only have us outnumbered 14,000 to 30, I like the odds, they will crush you.

You don't understand, the "peer review 'boys'" aren't boys; they are the scientists themselves. And despite your sexism there are now a considerable number of girls.

As I have repeatedly said if you get a BS review hang loose your turn will come.

Most scientists don't need to be told this, it's obvious after their friends tell them to expect to be asked to review, and that they'd better do it.

And most non-scientists are completely unaware of who the "peer reviewers" are.

Just like you.

choff, I really want to note to you, that myself and many others are completely annoyed you keep feeding the troll. You think you know better than everyone with any common sense, and because of you, that emotional retard is still stinking up the forum.

Be ashamed.

This is just you admitting you don't have any reasoned response and can't stand to admit you're wrong, GICluster.

Actually, I do apologize to GITrusher and any others on this forum I have annoyed by feeding the troll. I was on the verge of cutting off all discussion with him last night. The only reason I kept at it was because I though there might be some semblence of hope for him, that, and because debating is in my blood.

Good bye troll S'ster, you are now on my ignore list, go find yourself a bridge to crawl back under.

Well, choff, judging by his website, he seemingly WANTS to get kicked off so he can complain loudly to all and sundry about how utterly unfair/stupid/intolerant everyone here is.
I'm now awaiting a response from the administrator of a prominent fusion site, threatening to kick me off if I don't stop talking about global warming.

If there are fireworks I promise to publish the correspondence; whether I will name the site depends on how nasty they are.
Impressive. (For certain values of impressive, up to and including the smell from a cesspool in need of pumping...) Then there's his profile...
Asker of inconvenient questions Since this is generally an activity that generates friction, I prefer to conceal my identity so that the hate engendered by my questions does not have the opportunity to affect my professional or personal life. This would not be necessary if Republicans, Libertardians, Teabaggers, and other scum played fair, but they have to lie and cheat in order to win, so I will protect myself and advise the rest of you to as well.
Go in, intentionally 'generate friction', anger people, and then complain they aren't playing fair. Talk about projection combined with a whiny martyr complex. "They're being mean to me, so I must be right! I'll make them even madder, so they'll kick me off and I'll shame them everywhere!" o_O All righty, then.

Then there's this from his OTHER blog.
This blog isn't going to necessarily be updated by date. You will need to look at subjects every so often to see when they are updated. My intention is to follow long-term progressive political interest stories. Significant ongoing stories about political wrongdoing, both criminal and merely dishonest, will be followed here, with new links and data added as time goes on. In this way, the political scandals of the dishonest will be available to the honest for refutation of lies. Over time I hope this blog will become a resource for researchers defending against the common destroyative practice of bringing old lies back up again to see if enough people have forgotten they were lies.
Pity the poor progressive who can't find others to flock with. To continue...
This can be thought of as news aggregation, but the intent is not merely to provide a feed, but a permanent resource. I intend to do it pretty much entirely myself for now, so a Wiki is not the right method. As time goes on, I may find other like-minded folks who wish to contribute, but I do not envisage either a paying proposition or a large contributor community. This is intended to be a component in a web ring, so my expectation is that others will address progressive issues in different and diverse ways.

The comments here should therefore be directed to the accuracy of the articles; I intend to moderate 100% as long as I can. Do feel free to provide links and descriptions of additional material you think appropriate to articles; most likely it will be added if it's from a reliable source. I unfortunately will not be posting any shortened links; they are an invitation to misuse. Nor will I follow them. Links without descriptions will also be discarded. I don't have time to do your homework; if you want to contribute, contribute. (Note: Didn't seem to come to much... Anyone care to guess why?)

Undesirable content simply will not appear, although I reserve the right to publish particularly amusing or instructive diversions from reality, including any personally identifying information provided by any means, along with appropriate sardonic observations. You may find this personally humiliating. Not being egregiously stupid or slimy will tend to protect you from this sort of thing. You send me your comments for my use and abandon all rights to anything by submitting them here. I promise I will not use them for personal financial profit. Nothing more. Illegal activity of any kind, whether against me or a third party, will be reported to the appropriate authorities without further warning including everything I can put my hands on to help them catch you. I will not merely report it; I will actively assist them in catching you to the best of my ability. You have been warned.
Lol. He seems to think there's some value he's adding that makes his site unique.

But yet... the World Wide Web is a lot larger than one blog.

My own philosophy has been live and let live - on the web and elsewhere. If I find a site interesting, I stay and comment. If I don't - I go elsewhere. This guy's philosophy doesn't seem to run that way. He seems to think he's got some right to arbitrarily dictate what other people can post elsewhere, and everything will be fine as long as HE likes the content. If not, he'll bitch and moan and complain.

And oddly, he doesn't seem to generate much in the way of conversation on his blogs. It seems pretty clear to me why that's so. Tell everyone they've got to play by his rules or else, and he's not going to generate much traffic. He seems to be under the idea that web rings are still a popular thing, and he can become some sort of progressive clearing house. Maybe he wants to be the next HuffPo, or LGF. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's not the '90s any more. You might go Blogspot as a starter, but domain hosting is cheap, and very much a step up in the professional look. It also doesn't hurt to learn MoveableType or Wordpress - and if you build your own you can have a much different look than the standard Blogger template.

There's actually signs of him wanting to be more, and I'm serious about that.
The state of thought in this world is not good. I hope to improve it. We need to think, each and every one of us, before we act politically. Power is about to shift from the few to the masses; it actually has already started. Terrorism is the evidence of it. Hopefully this blog will make someone who might have thought it was a good idea to blow things up or burn things think twice and do something beautiful instead.
Yet he has no problems wanting to stifle or destroy that which he disagrees with. It's a shame he couldn't live up to his own ideals.

I know I'm feeding into his desire for recognition here. Well, enjoy the links, Schneibs. Getting kicked off of ten sites is certainly an accomplishment, but it's not viewed as positive by most people.

And in his final death moves he will ask , beg and knave to get ADMIN access to fix a problem. And most likely as on the sites he will use his access to harass those that disagree with him. I found two sites where this was claimed to by members and then he was banned.
Ok now I sit back and wait for the fallout.

Funny you should mention that...

He's identifying problems here at Talk-Polywell and offering to help solve them.

What could POSSIBLY go wrong with handing him the keys?

He doesn't say, as such... His post on that is here.
I've been kicked off about ten sites, and have only found one that will abide me and is smart enough to take my money.

Not wondering about Schneibster's claims to fame.
Paperburn claims to have found 2 sites where Schneibster supposedly begged for admin then supposedly abused admin to harass people. Which sites?

Keep in mind this is what others have claimed. Just search for yourself on google. Here is a starting point.
http://talkrational.org/

It has little-to-nothing to do with his role in diagnosing server problems. It has everything to do with giving him the keys to reams of sensitive information.

Are you forgetting the part where he used my IP address (however he got it) to try and "scare me" in the most flailingly butthurt fashion? You know, where he brought up the F.B.I. (lollerskates) and made vague (equally hilarious) hints about how much he "knew" about me?
