Our commenter keeps waving around that desmogblog piece on record temperatures that actually just smears people by waving the old "all skeptics are in pockets of the oil companies, electric companies, Koch Bros, latest bogeyman" and I wondered why desmog was sort of in my memory. I looked this up and realized why:
http://www.americanthinker.com/2013/04/ ... rooks.html
Desmog is the home of Ross Gelbspan, who has been the heart of the smear skeptic movement since the early Nineties using as his source, a memo from an advertising agency that had as client, ICE, an electric company and coal industry trade group. A memo that only Gelbspan has seen in it's entirety. So the "in the pay of" smear is based on a memo that may not exist, for a proposal for a campaign that was never carried out, with not even a glimmer of any evidence that does not lead back to gelbspan in one way or another. So the whole smear is more than likely a big lie. Thank you Russell Cook.

The proof is on NOAA.gov, which again is shut down due to the traitorous activities of the tea party activists in Congress.
The link is in the fourth paragraph of this piece: http://www.desmogblog.com/2013/09/23/gl ... -on-record
Sorry your buddies are hiding the evidence.
Oh, and you're lying again.
This pretty much looks like a lesson in how you lie: simply deny the existence of evidence, without ever checking it or even finding out where it came from.
To top it all off, of course, they point out that both La Niña and the bottom of the solar cycle coincided, as I have pointed out before now, in the very next sentence. And both of them are links to original sources of evidence of the bottom of the solar cycle, which anyone can find out at spaceweather.com, and La Niña, which anyone can find out at any of a dozen sites hopefully no more than half of which are down due to the Republican-Amurcn teatraitor government shutdown.

We need a directorate of science, and we need it to be voted on only by scientists. You don't get to vote on reality. Get over it. Elected officials that deny the findings of the Science Directorate are subject to immediate impeachment for incompetence.

I'd rather be in the pocket of an organization that profits by producing something of value than in the pocket of an organization that operates by holding a (figurative?) gun to people's head and gives orders.
The daylight is uncomfortably bright for eyes so long in the dark.
