This is your mistake. They're not "beliefs." You don't know what my beliefs are; you haven't asked. All you've heard about so far is my knowledge.Maui wrote:- Recognize that not everyone shares your beliefs.
You're never going to get anywhere until you can face reality.
Knowledge:
The universe was created by natural processes. Specifically, ΛCDM and inflation, starting from real nothing, not just empty spacetime. There wasn't any spacetime. And that's unstable so universes bubble out of it. We can see what happened: we have observed the CMBR, which is the light from the Big Bang, and from the Fusion Era that lasted a hundred thousand years after it. This isn't theorizing. You can see it in the sky with a radiotelescope.
Life was created by natural processes. Specifically, autocatalytic networks condense anytime there are enough chemicals of sufficient complexity in the same medium. Lipid shells, and the free proteins that make them up, occur naturally in carbonaceous chondrite meteors, which form during the T-Tauri phase of the birth of a sun, like ours for example. Finally, the source of novel molecules is ensured both by the presence of ices (CO2, CH4, NH3, and H2O; commonly, carbon dioxide, methane, ammonia, and water) and lightning and volcanoes and other sources of heat like fumaroles under the ocean and so forth; and by the "age of comets" during which the Earth acquired its atmosphere and oceans from comet impacts on a yearly or at least once- or twice-a-decade basis for half a billion years or so. Each one of those comets came down with enormous heat, beyond anything but the interior of the Sun. The chemicals created are plentiful, complex, and random. Exactly what's required to form autocatalytic networks. We do the same to develop laundry detergent enzymes and it works fine. We've already developed the first organisms with 100% artificial DNA, in 2010. Old hat.
That evolution happens is unquestionable; between domestic animal breeding, observed speciation of flies, lizards, and bacteria; and the existence of "ring species," there can be no doubt. Then there's the fossil record. And if you doubt it they find oil using the fossil record. The theory part is that evolution happens as a result of natural selection, and since breeding, or unnatural selection, works, it's kinda hard to deny it. If natural selection doesn't work how come unnatural selection does?
These aren't beliefs. They're reality. Sorry. You missed something important in your education.
