Not zealots in the crusading sense. Oh, they'll run their mouths a lot, and maybe carry protest signs, but will they form into battalions and charge the Islamists with their swords? Not a chance.

Resistance doesn't need a common religion. Just a common enemy.

And what kind of resistance will atheists put up against a marching dogma? I have yet to see them challenge the Islamists on anything, let alone insult them in the way they do the Christians.


Christian zealots (such as the Crusaders) would have actively attacked any effort by Muslims to settle amongst them. They would have driven them out as a body would an infectious germ. Atheists will bitch and whine about "magic space daddies" but they will not take up arms to prevent the slowly invading force from encompassing them.

When I used the term "zealot" I meant "Fire, Blood and Death" zealotry, not obnoxious twit zealotry.
An order of magnitude in difference IMO.


Atheists will succumb to the infection. Christian Zealots would not.

What alliance of the non-religious do you contemplate could slow, halt or reverse the invading Islamic meme? I can't fathom such a thing.

In fact, Charles Martel did attack the Moorish invaders into Spain. It is good to note though that there were many such movements. It was only those advanced by force that were responded to by force. Martel had no interest in becoming a King nor Emperor and divided his holdings between his sons. Yet he went to battle against those Moors who were raiding and invading by force Spanish lands.

I have been watching the Pakistani Muslims drag Christians out in the street and burn them alive.

Last year. Not "crusaders" a thousand years ago.
