Unfortunately you allow the extremists on one side to convince you both sides are the same.
I assume this is because you're not thinking about what you're hearing.
We need a directorate of science, and we need it to be voted on only by scientists. You don't get to vote on reality. Get over it. Elected officials that deny the findings of the Science Directorate are subject to immediate impeachment for incompetence.

"Extremism" is largely a condition of moving goal posts nowadays. What was smack dab in the middle "normal" positions in 1960 are now regarded as extreme.
The positions themselves didn't change. The Leftward ratchet effect just kept clicking, and what used to be "extreme" is now regarded as "normal."
We are more socialized than ever before in our history, and nowadays people who attempt to slow or halt this leftward advance are called "extreme."
Nobody has learned the lessons of the Soviets or the Nazis.

Actually republics pass less laws.
On Earth.

I watched it halfway through. As the correction would require a nearly impossible constitutional amendment, I decided it was futile to go further until some sort of consensus is built to make such a change.
Right now, the nation is more focused on other topics. I doubt this one will get a turn anytime soon.

What amuses me is you think the racists would win if there were no electoral college. It's your latest lame excuse.
Racists are unpopular. Racists are fascists. Racists are slavers. Racists are whiners. Get over racism. Expect to hear a lot of things that will make you feel guilty, including from your own conscience, until you give it up forever. And expect that you are ruining your childrens' future if you teach it to them.

Nope. The Magical Ignore Function is in full on Asshole Supression Mode.

Observe that there are people arguing against me when I try to denounce racism.
Consider carefully who these people almost certainly are.
Then consider whether they belong on a fusion site.

Once upon a time the "normal" position was that slavery was legal and neither women nor blacks should vote. Moving goalposts are not always a bad thing. But it's up to us to decide what things are best changed and what should stay the same... not our long dead ancestors.
When I refer to "Extremism", I am referring not the specific position held, and instead to closed-mindedness to think that all other beliefs are inherently "wrong". The mindset that no compromises should be made, even if it means dragging down the country for the purposes of "winning" a political battle.
George Washington wrote:The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissensions, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. The disorders and miseries which result gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of Public Liberty. Without looking forward to an extremity of this kind (which nevertheless ought not to be entirely out of sight), the common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it.

Bigoted against what or who?
You just use "bigot" as a general insult. You don't know what it means, and are not prepared to prove I'm anything of the kind.

There's only one reality.

I think bigot is the perfect definition of some people on this general forum.
We have our own Archie Bunker of the left here in general.
But as long as he (and others) keeps it in general , let him spew all he wants.
