We need an anti-extremist PAC

I won't read whatever the troll said. I value my brain cells too much.
"Ploink" is from the days of usenet, described as the sound of adding someone to your killfile, or in terms of this board the foe list.

No, you value your meshback too much.hanelyp wrote:I won't read whatever the troll said. I value my brain cells too much.
I hate to say it but I intend to ploink all the meshbacks, and I hope they all ploink me.hanelyp wrote:"Ploink" is from the days of usenet, described as the sound of adding someone to your killfile, or in terms of this board the foe list.
I can't see why anyone would want to talk to stupids on the fusion discussion site. I've talked to perhaps three people since I came here who are actually capable of discussing fusion, or any other physics, as compared to fifteen or twenty meshbacks who are afraid of equations.
Whatever this place is, it's not about fusion. Most of the people here can't even discuss fusion competently. I saw one of these idiots trying to talk about B-p11 fusion. Really.
This is what happens when the Libertardian meshbacks invade: science sites turn to gobbledygook. Sorry, brogrammers, it doesn't work like Windoze.
We need a directorate of science, and we need it to be voted on only by scientists. You don't get to vote on reality. Get over it. Elected officials that deny the findings of the Science Directorate are subject to immediate impeachment for incompetence.

meshback
In Missouri, a meshback is the kind of inbred, white-trash, inbred loser who wears a cheap adjustable baseball cap whose back half is made of nylon mesh. The hats tend to advertise trucking companies, fast food restaurants, or agricultural enterprises.

and once again , fusion is on the News page. This is General where it seem about anything goes.

I think he meant getting listed as a "Foe" and thus implementing the Auto-Ignore function.Stubby wrote:is that what you mean hanelyp?
"Ploink", you are in the Ignore Bucket.
Personally, I hope never to decide to drop someone in that bucket again. I value diverse opinions.

I've been thinking of adding him to the ignore list for quite some time. Some people's opinions are just not worth reading.

Ah learned something.
The only definition i could find that made sense was described as the sound of an object hitting water.
As in a dead body given as one example.
I don't care if you ploink me. What we do is mostly talk past each other but other people reading will see both sides and form opinions hopefully based on evidence and not faith or presupposition.
I won't block anybody, not even "diogenes" because someone has to throw his bigoted views into a dumpster. No one else really makes that effort. Either people don't care (which is very sad) or people agree with him. Or maybe they don't have the time but I can't let that stuff go.

Yes, this is instant runoff voting. We need this.Diogenes wrote:The Conclusion of the book was that the most efficient and accurate system would be to vote based on numerical preference rather than simply up or down.
Your preferred candidate gets a "1", and your second choice gets a "2". Your third choice gets a "3" and so on.
Re: We need an anti-extremist PAC
I'm not suggesting there needs to be a national law governing how votes are counted. The conditions don't change when trying to push through voting systems changes at the state-level. You are still going to have PACs / special interests fighting the change.palladin9479 wrote:People talk about that all the time without understanding how the base government of the USA functions. We're not a democracy, the people do not vote for federal laws or anything federal for that matter. Each state has a certain amount of sovereignty and part of that sovereignty is to determine how it's electoral votes are counted. ~You~ do not vote for the President, your state does. Your voting to indicate to your state which option to take. This framework is part of the US Constitution, would take an amendment to change and even then it's doubtful. Essentially no state can tell another state how to vote. Citizens of California can not tell Citizens of Mississippi how to vote. The fact that the federal government has been massing far too much domestic power for the past 70 years is something that's been worrying me. Our entire government system is designed for the states to wield the majority of domestic power with the federal government overseeing power over foreign affairs. But how do we get any changes to the voting system with out current political environment? The existing PACs would certainly fight such a change tooth-and-nail. An anti-extremist PAC could also campaign for voting system changes such as these...
My thought is simply that the only way to stop the extremification of our politics and allow consideration of anything that sticks of being moderate (compromise, voting system changes) is to have money our there that is specifically countering the extremists.

Personally I'm half Swedish, a quarter Norwegian, and a quarter English Irish, AKA "black Irish." 100% white, if you consider Irish white. Probably more aryan than you are: 75%.paperburn1 wrote:meshback

Has nothing to do with "race," other than that most blacks are too smart to be meshbacks. Has to do with teh stupid.

Says the second most bigoted person on the web site. Like I said before, you get away with this stuff because you are hiding behind a keyboard. "Internet bravery", I believe they call it.

It would appear to be a superior system to what we are using. The book had other interesting mathematically based topics as well. If you find it convenient, I would urge you to read it.

You just use "bigot" as a general insult. You don't know what it means, and are not prepared to prove I'm anything of the kind.
Typical meshback.
