yeah it is awesome. I got my PC hooked up to a 55 inch 1080P via "DVI to HDMI" cable, and the quality definitely does kick ass.

There`s not much content on vreel right now because the website is quite new - but give it time.

The first HD site used to be called Stage6, and there was so much content on there, too bad it somehow failed and they had to shut it down...

Streaming HD quality requires so much bandwidth... i do beleive Vreel has some contracts with High-speed server suppliers all over the world, as it is needed.

It is fine enough that someone with the right computer skills should be able to show the same scene from 2 slightly different viewpoints so it could be viewed in 3D by holding a piece of cardboard vertically between bridge of nose and center of screen.
It would be a very cheap 3D viewer.

Is it just me ? or does anyone else think that services like this will compromise the internet when every Tom, Dick and Harry hop onboard.

Admitedly i dont have any sources, but i sense i growing divide in Infrastructure vs Bandwidth.

Im beaming to you from 7mbit 3G wireless broadband via a Wifi router. Odly enough there have been some cold rainy weekends here lately in Queensland, and on sundays i already feel the network is under imense stress (big latency) from every kid killing time on youtube or torrenting whole seasons of television .

..the site is up and running. Tons of stuff being uploaded onto it. I signed up for the gold membership($7/month) because the ads were getting to be a littl` too much, and i don`t mind helping them out a bit.. the premium membership fee is too much for me($20) considering i wont upload much content. I really hope this website wont go the way of Stage6.

It WAS a free hi-def video blogging community, with upgrades if you wanted extra bandwidth for uploading.

I imagine its these websites that are putting a kink in the cable company`s financial income, and they would probably lobby all kinds of govt groups to try and shut these websites down(while still budding is most efficient and most probable i guess).

I`m hoping vreel can survive... and that`s one of the reasons i went ahead and signed up for the gold account.
