Surely everyone has figured this out by now.
You have to have people who don't permit short-term financial considerations to prevent necessary upgrades and preventive maintenance. You can't ignore these things and expect everything to be OK.
But overall, they'll still cost less than coal, in terms of lives.

We need a directorate of science, and we need it to be voted on only by scientists. You don't get to vote on reality. Get over it. Elected officials that deny the findings of the Science Directorate are subject to immediate impeachment for incompetence.
