The doom predicted by conservatives will be progressive. Communism did not kill the Soviet Union in 1920. It took about 70 more years.

The same will be true of today's "Progressive" agenda. Health care did not take a shot to the heart. The windpipe was just constricted a little more. It takes a while to die from a 1% oxygen shortage but if you can get the patient to run a marathon with a constriction you can get faster "results".

Already companies are dropping their health care plans due to increased costs. It will add $100 bn a year to costs well before the full bill kicks in.

The bill changed the incentives and yet it was marked up by CBO as if the situation was static.
