It obviously disturbs him when the news includes things he doesn't like and he needs to be protected from those stories. That's why for example, the other media outlets have not covered what is likely the biggest news story this last year--the military assault on the US embassy in Benghazi. Skippy prefers that the news be managed so he and those like him will never be challenged as regards our president's leadership. Some call this propaganda. Some may liken it to what happened in Germany in the years leading up to WWII. I think though, the simplest explanation for the disinformation, cover ups, lies, and betrayal of the public's trust is that people like Skippy cannot be exposed to facts that don't square with their world view. The media has evolved the way it has purely for market reasons, and it is precisely because people like Skippy freak out when exposed to the truth, that he is protected from it by his choice of news service. Cowards and fools get just what they're after. Skippy is not after the truth, or lets face it, would he have voted for OBama?
Skippy is an Austrian citizen, so he only voted for Obama if he happened to be in the country during the election.
As for the media, What is wrong with them goes way beyond market reasons. They often side with their own ideology even though it costs them market share, and Fox News is a prime example of this. They are first and foremost, Ideologues, bent on using their access to the public microphone to indoctrinate and thereby control the public mindset regarding various issues.
They have been quite successful in the playing of their pied piper song on the gullible. It is way past time we dropped a nuke on them.
But yeah, Skippy wants to keep his distorted world view.
