Hand to mouth hardly describes it. A founder, a scientist and an IT person. One volunteer couhd be a big boost, though i don’t speak for the company.

I wasn't expecting another report so soon, but it looks like one was published mid-month:

Part 1 consists of a call for funding, a press mention of an LPPFusion spin-off idea, and coverage of the TAE/LHD p-B11 experiments. The major takeaways are that their paper was published on March 9 in the Journal of Fusion Energy, and LPPFusion is planning to start yet another crowdfunding campaign soon on WeFunder and in May on StartEngine.
Part 2 is devoted to a hypothesis that the proton and the neutron may be tiny plasmoids, based on recent results casting doubt on the quark model of proton structure. LPPFusion expects that a truer understanding of the nature of protons and neutrons will increase the pace of progress in fusion research.

While I'm here, the last monthly (post above) talks about potentially doubling plasma density for shots in the near future, associated with a ~25% increase in current to the device via the new switches. Which is definitely NOT investment advice!

I have always liked the LPP approach, no matter the technical complexity at its tactical level. They are always finding more 'we didn't know we didn't knows' which, to me, is the heart of true science and advancement of the body of knowledge. One of the disappointing things I learned back during my doctoral studies was how much of "new knowledge" is simply someone relabeling existing knowledge. I don't see this with LPP at all, especially at those tactical theory to practice levels.

There haven't been any updates on the LPP website since May, but their crowdfunding effort is ongoing. They've passed their first milestone of $100,000, and have set a new target of $200,000 by the end of July. Also, they posted this to their Wefunder page:

They're confident enough in their current setup that they feel it's time to switch to pB11 fuel, which they will do beginning in September.

Also, there should be some updates with the latest results from the FF-2B device "in the next few days".On Tuesday, LPPFusion Chief Scientist Eric Lerner announced at the Dense Z-Pinch Conference in Ann Arbor Michigan that we plan to start the tests with pB11 fuel in September. This will be the first time anyone has tested the Focus Fusion approach, which uses pB11 fuel in a dense plasma focus device. The experiments will be the first in a months-long series of tests aiming at net energy before the end of 2025.

August Newsletter is out. Not much news. More work on switches and the prospect of starting PB11 experiments in September.
They are aiming for net energy by the end of 2024.

New newsletter is out. Not much news. They went to a conference. According to presenters there PB11 fusion yield surpasses simulations.
LPPF is going to use decaborane for fuel. Since it is toxic, they need some filters, which they are currently working on.

Welp, they broke their electrode again... It will be at least March until they have a replacement.
I predict that we won't see them having any significant progress until mid 2024, maybe even the end of 2024... or 2025...

New newsletter from LPPF.
They seem to be making progress on the funding and the experimental side. PB11 experiments with Beryllium electrode are now set to start next month (we will see, but fingers crossed). They also seem to have improved their symmetry with pre- ionization. Overall good news from them and for them. Let's hope they will actually get somewhere this time.

LPP fusion seems to have broken their previous record of 0.19 Joule yield with D-D. They still have a long way to go, but at least they are finally making progress again.
