Canadians are allowed to use medical marijuana with a prescription, but recreational use is illegal. The government has said it will introduce legislation to legalize recreational use in 2017.

Trump is going to need to build another wall. I wonder if he can get the Canadians to pay for it.
Trump has said that he opposes legalizing pot but he wouldn't interfere with states doing so; that is unlike Obama who has had more Federal raids on state legal pot dispensaries than his predecessor Bush did. Wonder if "crooked Hillary" would do the same? Trump in the past (1990 or so) has had different views on legalizing pot and has said the WOD is a failure and should be ended, but that is not his current position. I think he has said as much that he is willing to "tolerate" at least medical marijuana. I am glad he didn't pick Chris Christie as his running mate, he made it clear that he would go after states that legalized pot; honestly don't know what Mike Pence's positions on that are. Would be interesting to hear the candidates views as to how they feel about California legalizing pot; since Hillary is counting on California's support (probably a lock at this point) can't see her going after Calif. if the pot legalization initiative passes; Trump most likely wouldn't either if he won.

Here is Where Donald Trump's VP Pick Stands On Cannabis

Mike Pence is governor of one of the least cannabis-friendly states, according to the Marijuana Policy Project.
"Indiana has some of the most draconian marijuana penalties in the country," the MPP site says. "Possession of even a single joint is punishable by up to a year of incarceration and a fine of up to $5,000....[In 2012], law enforcement devoted valuable time and resources to either arresting or citing over 9,000 individuals for marijuana-related offenses, 86% of which were for possession."
How reassuring.

Getting things into perspective, this kind:

Some excerpts:

In continuing purge, Turkey revoking licenses of 21,000 private school teachers.

Turkey has already announced the firing of 15,200 teachers at state institutions, demanded the resignations of 1,577 university deans and halted all foreign assignments for state-employed academics. In addition, thousands of other state employees have been fired in half a dozen agencies, all accused of being Gulen followers.

Tuesday's firings come on top of roughly 9,000 people who have been detained by the government, including security personnel, judges, prosecutors, religious figures and others.

Most of the soldiers in the so called coup though it was a routine military exercise, and how were they able to draw up a 60,000 name arrest list so quickly.
