California Taxpayers to SUBSIDIZE Auto Insurance for Illegal Aliens



Jones and others recognized that the cost of getting licensed — $33 — is a lot cheaper than buying insurance for hundreds of dollars a year. So, Jones, working with Senator Ricardo Lara, D-Bell Gardens, got the state Legislature to open up the low-cost insurance program to the new category of immigrant drivers.

"The price will be less than $450 a year, which is less than $38 a month," Jones said. He said that's about a third of what it costs to get private auto insurance in many markets across California.

With the State holding the bag for Illegal Aliens involved in accidents, what could possibly go wrong?

This is just one of the reasons why it is considered insane to start a corporation in CA now. People still do it because it's convenient when you attended Stanford, CalTech or UCLA, but the fat is it is a very poor choice to live and work in CA these days, because of this kind of crazy.

With more than a trillion dollars of unfunded liability, CA shows no signs of tightening the state belt nor any other sort of fiscal responsibility. The legacy corps are all moving out. Sooner or later the debt will come crashing down and the only way to meet the short term need will be to raise taxes again, and drive more corps out.

In a startup, you generally go wherever you need to in order to network with the required human resources, and Silicon Valley does have the largest investor base in the world. Still, it can't last for long because no one who thinks straight on the issue chooses to start a company in CA.

Sounds kinda like why Maryland's overwhelmingly Democratic electorate just stunned their party by electing a Republican Governor. His strategy was not to harp on right wing policies, but just to point out the dismal business picture that was hurting everyone, and suggest that maybe a bit of frugality might be better than raising taxes that were already far higher than neighboring states.

That is what got Schwarzenegger elected in CA, Romney in MA and Christie in NJ. The trouble is, these democratic states only choose Republican Governors when they have a terrible problem and once the problem is solved, they elect Democrats again and screw up their state.

Romney and Christie actually fixed the financial problems of their states. Schwarzenegger did not which is why they still have this trillion dollars in unfunded liabilities and are toying with things like Hyperloop. Obviously it is more fun to spend money than pay off debt, but anyone who lives in CA ought to be fighting to see the state pay off their debt.

This insurance subsidy is a detail that didn't make the major media, I'm thinking deliberately.

The hyperloop would be a big step up from the high speed rail boondoggle the state of California is chasing. The people pushing high speed rail here appear to be pulling numbers out of their anal sphincter, completely ignoring some very important engineering and economic realities.

I say with no hint of frivolity, The National Media companies are the greatest threat this nation has faced. They skew elections based on their biased reporting, and ESPECIALLY because of what they REFUSE to report.


Instead of hunting Terrorists, we ought to be launching all out assaults against one party control of the information stream. Fix that, and the terrorist problem will resolve itself.

Swedish flag banned in Swedish school

The Swedish flag has now been banned at a primary school in Sweden. The reason is that the flag may be offensive to certain groups and breaking the law “offensive against ethnic groups.”

The Stars and Bars are the flag of a defeated traitorous enemy of the country, the constitution, humanity, as far as my faith is inspired, God. The Stars and Stripes are ubiquitous in my children's elementary school.

I really don't see your point in bringing this up. I don't see it as being even remotely the same thing.


The Stars and Bars is not the flag of any currently existing country. The Flag of Sweden is, and they have chosen to hide it rather than show it for fear of offending the Muslim Immigrants. I would suggest that if Muslim Immigrants are so offended by the Swedish flag, they ought not have decided to settle in Sweden.

What is the matter with you? You sound like you've drank the kool-aid or something.

The Founders were unequivocal traitors to the British Crown. Under English law, there can be no other determination, but they based the founding of *THIS* country on a different set of principles, and among them was the principle that people have a natural right to self determination.

That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

In other words, they explicitly stated that breaking away from a larger country and forming your own government was one of the natural rights that the people possessed.
