I commend you for discussing other, (and in my opinion far more important) problems facing the world today.

Yes, the socialists are going to steal money if they are tolerated. It's what they are. Their entire raison d'ĂȘtre is based on the normalization of theft of the fruits of other people's labor.

(Reuters) - The savings of the European Union's 500 million citizens could be used to fund long-term investments to boost the economy and help plug the gap left by banks since the financial crisis, an EU document says.

The banks are in even worse shape than before the 2008 crash, because the bailouts and QE have only encouraged them to keep doing the exact same things that caused it. Why change when you can always stick the rest of society with the consequences and keep the profit for yourselves. They make commissions and bonuses from swapping CDO's with each other all the while raising the leverage and debt(which banks count as assests).

Bailing them in with customer deposits will do nothing to stop the practices that caused the problem, it will only cause them to keep doing more of the same until they have an even bigger crash.

Time to bring out the pitchforks!
