HEPZIBAH, GA (WRDW) -- Tanya Mount says she is being targeted by the administrator at her daughter's school after a meeting between the two several week ago.

"I feel like a criminal. I want I want to be heard. I want a public apology," says Mount. On Wednesday, Mount says she was handed a notice from Richmond County Board of Education police.

"He tells me that were going to issue you a criminal trespass warning," says Mount. The notice banned her from McBean Elementary School where her disabled daughter attends.

She asked what she did wrong. "The principal is scared of you and she doesn't want you on the grounds. I ask for what? And he asks were you in the Army and I said yes. He's like do you have a concealed weapons permit? I said yes," says Mount.

Mount who is a parent volunteer says she is banned from the school for posting a picture of her new concealed weapons permit on her Facebook page.
I wouldn't have posted the concealed carry permit on Facebook, but that's just me - why let anyone else know?

The principal, however, is a total idiot - there's no excuse for the banning. A simple, polite request to make sure she doesn't carry at the school (which she likely doesn't - if she bothered to get a concealed carry permit in the first place she won't be carrying on school grounds in accordance with the law) would have been the way to go.

Was there a hearing? If not she can sue. There's no evidence she ever carried on school property.

I expect she'd get walkin' around money at minimum. That's pretty heinous.

I wonder what political applecart the principal thought she was gonna upset, and whether it's as big as the one the principle upset. I suspect this is gonna be juicy.

She's transferring her kid outta there. I sure would. I'd make them pay for it to send my kid to private school.
