We need a directorate of science, and we need it to be voted on only by scientists. You don't get to vote on reality. Get over it. Elected officials that deny the findings of the Science Directorate are subject to immediate impeachment for incompetence.

You can see why when Sam Witwicky first met Bumblebee he assured Mikaela that it must be Japanese.

Re: Giant Robot
Actually the coolest piece of Japanese technology I have ever personally seen is a robot that sensed my presence, slowed down, and played a tune so I would notice it and get out of its way. It was carrying a couple million dollars worth of wafers. I had no idea but its automation and good ergonomics prompted the appropriate response on my part anyway.
That's good design.

The Japanese are picky. It means their stuff is made meticulously.

Yes really.

It's pronounced to rhyme with "booking" in English.
They're getting angry about having to replace the sign.

GFor those who aren't familiar, giant robots are a part of Japanese culture as much as giant monsters and very advanced cameras. Anime for all ages exists in Japan. It's odd that a culture that presumes only children eat sweets, will sit down across every demographic and watch giant robots.
Great pics! This second one looks to be about 70' tall? Looks like the Mechwarrior Griffin.

Gundam, and yes it's 70' tall at least. MechWarrior(battletech) stole bunch of Japanese mech designs when they first started making the game. Got them in real trouble later.GIThruster wrote:GFor those who aren't familiar, giant robots are a part of Japanese culture as much as giant monsters and very advanced cameras.
