Socialism, So Awesome

French style:

“But I’ve also seen determined young people take jobs in places like Vietnam, with local contracts and nothing like the level of protection afforded by French labour law, in order to gain a proper first experience of business in a competitive environment. And then you have a large group whose ambition is simply to stay outside the economy.”

~~~
Socialism: So awesome, people would rather move to Vietnam.
We live in weird world.
You wouldn't know a socialism if it bit you on the butt.
UK has universal health care among other things.
Hardly a non socialist country.
I've seen socialism work fine in some areas and badly in others, same with public private partnerships, free enterprise, capitalism, you name it. A major factor in whether a system works or not is the level of corruption, culture also plays a huge role, all nations have their own modus operandi. Example, in Canada we have few complaints about the health care system, but I have the feeling that you couldn't simply transfer it across the border, the culture is just that different.
The main questions seem to be fairness and the correct assignment of talents to problems.
I think there are many ways to achieve this.
I point out that jealousy is the main enemy of good management, and lying is the second most important problem. You really can't get away with it and should stop trying. Be happy with what you're good at, don't insist on pretending you're what you're not. Trying is fine; failing is fine. Refusing to admit you failed and failing to transfer your effort to other goals is the problem, not failure.
You can manage or you can engineer. Not both.
Jccarlton could answer by explaining socialism.
I expect this would be fairly humorous.
Some things scale up well to a point - and then rapidly become unworkable past a point.
Coca-Cola sells pretty well - but you're not going to see a grocery store dump everything else off its shelves and devote the entire store to Coke products.
Yep. Capitalism stimulates technological advance. You just have to stop the money people from taking everything over. Everything has its place.
Including socialism.
So basically Driscoll has nothing to do with socialism, you're just spamming again.
You better get on track quick or I'm going to start reporting your every new thread as spam.
