The fact that real people are already being placed in energy poverty and many real people in the Third World are going to be forced into misery by nothing more than some bad computer models is appalling.

Errmmm, hope you're not citing Pakistan. They're the ones who think they can generate electricity without having to pay for the coal or oil or gas that get burned to generate it. They even tried to put the generator owners in jail for not generating electricity when they hadn't paid for the fuel. This is common in third-world countries.
