Rush Limbaugh:
"My dad said, "Son, it's always amazed me that there isn't one person here in our neighborhood that will go knocking on doors and ask for money for whatever reason. Their kid needs it. The kid needs to go to school. Somebody needs to go to the doctor. There's not one neighbor in our neighborhood who'll come knocking on our door or anybody else's asking for money, but they will vote for people who will do it for them," and it's true."

Sumner has been smeared time and again by Progressives. It's time to find out why; and why he matters. It's one thing for A and B to give to X. That's charity. It's another to decide that C should be taxed to give to X. That's tyranny. No matter how deserving X is, tyranny is never right.

But yeah, I agree with your assessment. Taxation and Slavery are merely a question of degree.
