So why was the EMCC patent denied?

Incidentally no surprise from me on ST being the inventor. They've been interested in power technology for decades. I showed up to make our machines work at their factory in Milano a couple times and they had their act pretty together in the Class-100 area.

I do not closely follow LENR. Mostly because I think there is nothing there. As do about 95% of the people who frequent this board. It is an occasional topic of interest. Thus the link.

I like STM chips. A lot of MIPS for the $$.

I think they are homesteading an idea with the hopes that if something does become of it they can show they can get a piece of the action. It seems like I have seen this a lot in the courts as of late.

I'm not much on it either; I think there might be something there but it's not a powerful enough effect to be net power producing. Maybe some kind of chemical thing they might find out or something, or in a hundred years we find out there's some one-in-a-million effect that if they'd only known they'd have been able to duplicate the original experiment.

I like their power transistors- HexMOS? Something like that. 100A at 12V. Since I only needed 30A they were just the thing.

So you never said what happened to the patent process for you guys.

Hmmmm. That wouldn't be atypical either. Does anyone have a link to an english translation? Or did they file it in the US in english? It would be good to know what they're claiming rather than speculate on it.

And here's another question: do you guys think the patent application will be approved or denied?

I don't care much about LENR till someone comes forth with some irrefutable proof which can be consistently replicated by other labs. It's a curiosity till then.

Oh, there've been some compelling experiments, and repeated ones at that. China Lake looked into it.

Problem is none of them are net-energy-output. And there's no slightest hint of a scaling factor against any known variable.

Just stomping on schnauzer 's comment. Don't care what he said, just wanted to knock it off the top of the listing. (Watch him jump to respond. :) )

I wouldn't expect you to know anything at all about it, dioxindummy.

The truly funny part is that he actually thinks you read what he posted.

I keep having images of a shrivelled old pasty fat dude sitting alone (well, okay, with some cats here and there) and yelling at his screen. But there is no sound.

It really makes me giggle when I see four to six ignore notices in a row.

I wonder how long it will take him to go away? Beh, no matter, I guess I really don't wonder that after all.
