After all, he's selling pipes, he must be dealing drugs. Those cameras of his just paid for themselves.:

Anyone, anyone that thinks this is unusual is a Dorthy in Kansas. When I was on call for work, 24 / 7 / 365, even on vacation (part of salary), a manager called the wrong number trying to get a hold of me, and woke some idiot who said I wasn't there, that I was out getting cocaine. I say idiot because who would believe someone would take a stranger's word for it, given at 2 am in the morning over the phone, and not just call back to see if the wrong number was dialed? Anyway, the next day I was given a piss test. Of course, negative results would just mean I was a dealer or getting the stuff for someone else, and false positives, mixed up tests never happens, right? It is a career killer. So, knowing what I was facing, I invited the company to search my apartment. The company sent a detective and he searched my apartment. After finding nothing, he said, "It really didn't matter whether he found anything or not." It took me a month before it occurred to me that the call placed to my home was long distance and so there was a phone record of the actual number dialed (being the 80's that is the only way the actual number would have been kept). That phone record was the only thing that saved my career. This baptism into the reality of what I thought was Kansas was an absolute shock to me.
So, it is not just black people that drugs are used against. And, for all the righteous anti drug zealots, just remember records can be falsified and evidence planted if someone doesn't like your political stance. Like the detective said, it doesn't matter.
PS I never received an apology from the company, I guess they thought the collateral damage was worth it. Zealots are always made into idiots by righteous hubris.

Even though I don't think "head shops" are a fine business as they promote usage of illegal drugs, there is no justification for what this cop did.
That cop should be locked up for the same length of time as the store owner would have been for possession -- five years. Might even have more charges. Where did the cop procure the crack? Bought illegally? Stole some from evidence lockers? Hid and kept evidence from a prior arrest?
The camera is your only friend. Guy was smart to have so many in his shop.

The biblical standard penalty for false witness was the same as the crime falsely charged. Sounds good to me.
The standard of Proof beyond reasonable doubt is supposed to limit bad targeting, but only works when it is applied to the case in question.

The guy was not a cop. He was an informant doing everything to please the police.
