Referring to the Langley episode, Wolf said NASA allegedly allowed the Chinese national to take his work and volumes of other agency research back to China for a period of time.
Langley is where NASA does most of its hypersonics research.

Wolf is one of those that are against commercial crew and for funding the big pork rocket. I would take anything he says with a huge grain of salt. Actually I would outright assume that it is a lie, like most of the things he has said regarding commercial crew.

Congressman names employee he claims took NASA documents to China
Wolf then said he was told by a Department of Defense official "the names of 29 [Chinese] nationals without U.S. citizenship currently working as contractors at Langley."

When Wolf asked Martin how many Chinese nationals he thinks are working in some proximity to NASA, the IG replied: "I believe there are over 200 Chinese nationals working with access to various NASA facilities."

Martin estimated that 40% of all cyber attacks on U.S. government assets originate from the Peoples Republic of China.

Well why should they stop? When the Chinese stole the secrets of Terfenol-D developed at Ames, there were no consequences. They did just what they're doing now at all the other NASA centers, and we do nothing about it. Is it really a surprise when stuff we spend millions developing goes to China?

He may be but on this issue he appears to be right. After all, he wrote the law, so he ought to know whether or not it was broken. In any case, if contractors are taking their confidential and classified work back home to China with them, there is obviously a serious problem here. Someone needs to clean it up, and even if Wolf is a bastard for pushing SLS, he's still serving a purpose if he can get NASA to clean up their act.

NASA is not like working with military. They're civilians handling state secrets and like most scientists generally prefer open science and full disclosure. Unfortunately when you're working with classified technologies and other nations, you have some serious security concerns and the fact NASA let 20 years worth of research at Ames all go to China through a spy is reason enough to treat them as hostiles. This thieving thing hasn't just happened once or twice. It is more than a pattern and more than a habit. China has hundreds if not thousands of spies on the ground here in the US. Something serious needs to be done.

Blah, blah, blah. I am sure there are plenty of foreign spies sitting in the capitol itself, given the politics some certain people there make and not just chinese.
I dont care whether he is right or not, Wolf annoys the shit out of me and his politics are ass. I would not be surprised if he somehow made this situation happen just to have a reason to play his usual games.

Langley is also the center of NASA's LENR (Widom-Larsen Theory) research.

And just to clarify for those that aren't familiar with the area, this is NOT the infamous Langley, Virginia (aka, CIA headquarters). NASA Langley Research Center is part of/immediately adjacent to Langley AFB, VA, which is in Hampton (about 30 minutes north of Norfolk and the Naval bases there). Langley VA is just outside DC, a four hour highway drive north of Langley AFB.
