Yeah. It surprised me too.
A 2008 study reported that frankincense smoke was a psychoactive drug that relieves depression and anxiety in mice.[20] The researchers found that the chemical compound incensole acetate[21] was responsible for the effects.[20]

Aside from its massive healing potential, in my humble opinion, frankincense oil deserves the highest regard for the spiritual properties it contains, and the ability of frankincense oil to bring transport one into deep meditative states, and altered states of awareness and consciousness. It is one of the most powerful essential oils to anoint one's self before meditation, using a few drops of Frankincense oil on the third eye or sixth energy center of the body, sometimes referred to as a chakra.
Frankincense oil contains psychotropic properties that induce visionary states of awareness. Those properties are the reason it is such an excellent oil to anoint with before any spiritual or religious ceremony.

Now all we have to do is genetically convert humans into mice and we will be able to understand human health and cure all disease.

That was done a long time ago. How else do you explain the fear of guns currently being ramped up? Or the fear of cannabis ramped up in the 30s or the fear of opiates and cocaine ramped up in the very early 1900s.
Men have been mice for a very long time.

It's the G23 Paxilon Hydrochlorate that the meddlers added to the air processors to make people better, to force them to live without sin, since passing more and more laws didn't do it.

You realize of course that if Frankincense is psychoactive it will become labeled as a controlled substance(narcotic), and come Christmas the first time some church reenacts the nativitiy they're going to have a DEA tactical unit bust them. Mary, Joseph and the three kings will end up doing serious time, baby Jesus will become a ward of the state.

It was supposed to calm the population, weed out aggression. Well, it works. The people here stopped fighting. And then they stopped everything else. They stopped going to work, they stopped breeding, talking, eating. There's 30 million people here, and they all just let themselves die.

Where is this "here" you speak of? Keep in mind this board has an international audience.

I'm so out of it re: popular culture. So I looked up Paxilon Hydrochlorate
and found:
This: http://firefly.wikia.com/wiki/G-23_Paxi ... rochlorate
G-23 Paxilon Hydrochlorate or "Pax" (Latin for "Peace") was a chemical compound added to the air processors in order to pacify the populace, by the Union of Allied Planets. An Alliance research team on Miranda discovered that the Pax was effective with 99.9% of people. It was such an effective means of pacifying that the people stopped doing anything, they simply waited for death.

It is the liberal socialist and social conservative dream, if only they could force people to be sinless.....It would be a perfect world.

A better world, a world where people wouldn't fight or question the government.
Yeah I absolutely LOVED that series, so sad they did it in like that. The movie was great though.
I would absolutely love it if Josh Whedon got to do a proper sequel / another series like it.
M.Simon, go download / watch the Firefly series then watch the movie Serenity. One of the best scifi series ever made.

I second palladin's suggestion. "I mean to misbehave" is a quote from the movie.

They're discontinuing water floridation in Ontario, so I guess people in Toronto will be gettin all rebellious. Apparently many European countries have also scrapped floridation, I wonder if they cross reference to the EU protest regions.
