Looks more like the usual bogus reports...

Initially I agreed with you skipjack, however; when the tv station sent their own guy who also recorded the phenomenon with a much better camera, I became puzzled. Whatever it is, it's interesting to say the least.

My guess is. Both are recording birds flying by and they appear so fast, because they are comparably close.. Could also be insects.

all they have to do is set up two camera a quarter mile apart and Mark the location compare the videos later and you have ranging and location the object. Speed height ect ect

Of corse they would have to actually do it too...

Obviously not a bird or bug, if you look at the still frames in the video.
An oblate, metallic object with protrusion, seen emitting at least one plasma-like flash during a maneuver.
Maybe somebody built a WEAV in their garage,

or, something similar to what is theorized in papers 2-4 here:

It's certainly not a bird or a bug. For it to move so fast it cannot be seen with the naked eye, it would have to be extremely small and extremely fast. We can see even very large bugs like horseflies moving at 90 MPH from a fair distance. A very high performance RC aircraft likewise cannot be the culprit. They top out at about 200 MPH and might under a few conditions seem to vanish. It is after all the really small planes that are the fastest. However, they absolutely cannot perform the aerial maneuvers seen in the vid. Neither can birds or bugs. And note too, this is silent. This is not an animal nor any sort of conventionally propelled craft.
And it appears every day and has for months. This is precisely the kind of evidence skeptics claim they want and we can see how Skippy has responded to it. If it suddenly lands in someone's lap and little green men get out, Skippy will be claiming mass hysteria. If they do a broadcast on national TV Skippy will be claiming fraud video from FOX news.

Where do you get "little green men" from someone tinkering with electrostatics in their garage?

Zoom on the camera? It would magnify something that is too small (or too far away) to be seen with the naked eye.
Some birds can be really fast.

Ok, looking at the other video, I tend to think that these could be model rockets. They are _very_ fast for their small size and when they reach the apogee, there is a small white puff coming from one side to release the parachute. That could be what we some here are interpreting as a plasma like flash...
Another clue in this direction is the fact that this is above a residential area and not some secret airforce base...

Rockets leave a smoke trail, Skippy. There's no trail. No noise. You can hear a rocket for many hundreds of yards. No one spotting it from nearby. It's happening every day for months, so again, not birds or bugs.

I don't. The point was as relates to skepticism, not this sighting. I would point out however that this has an amazing power curve. In many of the vids it's performing maneuvers that rocket propelled craft, ducted fans, propellors, etc. cannot. Keep in mind too, that this is not some skinny little bug or rocket. It's closer to circular or. . .well need I say it?. . .saucer shaped.
There's a genuine puzzle here. In any case, no matter the size and distance, it is tracing crazy paths through the sky. Some of those maneuvers must be generating very high gees.

I think that the available evidence is inconclusive. I would not dare making any conclusions from such little evidence.

That may be your trouble, Skippy. You don't know how to manage eye witness testimony, even when it is verified by a TV news crew and concerns a daily event happening for months. There is enough evidence here to have a man hanged. That doesn't mean we know what it is, but it is certainly not a rocket, an RC aircraft, a bird, a plane, a bit of junk floating in the air, etc.
