Had a couple of my Engineer friends come up from Austin last Saturday. The topic turned to drug legalization, I pointed out China, and what happened to it as a result of drug legalization. My friend has always been a die-hard drug legalizer (Atheist Libertarian) But after a few minutes of my argument, he said I had convinced him. Apparently he had never considered the consequences of this particular real world experiment.

I got a convert and I owe it all to you. :) If not for your constant harping about it, I would have completely ignored this issue.

The other guy was already on my side. (Drugs are a threat to a nation's existence.) My pointing out what happened in China convinced him all the more strongly that we shouldn't legalize drugs.
