The Dark Knight Rises fusion device

The lines on the inside match those of a polywell.

Just thought it was an interesting detail of an excellent movie. Admittedly I had to suspend disbelief for every scene that involved that reactor though. Every. Scene.

It is the right size for a focus fusion device, maybe?

Haha, interesting observation!

They may have google imaged "fusion reactor" and browsed until they found the best looking/sci-fi looking reactor.

It was hilarious every time they mentioned the reactor and what it could do :)

It does in fact seem to be the right size for maybe a modest power generating plant, as I have read somewhere that a 3 meter reactor could generate 100 MW of power.

Looks like the Mirror Fusion Test Facility Magnet wrapped around a Polywell.
