UAV- discussion from way back continued

As I was saying back then "Manned fighters like the F22 or the F35 are last generation, UAVs are the future". Some people here agreed, some not so much.
Well it seems like the Navy agrees with me:

When I said that I was actually thinking of the next generation of UAVs, but I guess the current one is good enough.

Well the Navy seems to think my way. What can I do about it?

The Navy is talking about ISR, attack of surface targets, etc., not dogfighting and air superiority.

Is that beyond your comprehension? Apparently, it is.

I hope Austria opts to rely solely on drones for air combat and rejects any NATO assistance.
That will mean more of the limited number of F-22s will be available for defense of the US.

The Austrian drones will be snacks for the T-50s and J-20s of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Did you even read the article?
Austria barely has fighter planes, let allone any rockets to arm them. LOL!
But then, we dont really engage in wars that much since the 40ies.

Yes, I did. Did you?

Nowhere does it say anything about using drones for air-to-air combat.
The new efforts aim to have UCAS aircraft perform ground attack missions

Yes, but they want to replace F35s and they are looking into making the F18s unmanned.

Immaterial with respect to my argument since the F-35 is not an air superiority machine, rather a "jack of all trades and master of none".
Skipjack wrote:and they are looking into making the F18s unmanned
For surface attack, recon, etc., not air-to-air combat.

Hmm. Let me figure out another way to do it.
Sorry. I am at work and did not think about it.
