And on a related note.

While the British Treasury is busy writing checks to Amsterdam prostitutes, one-fifth of children are raised in homes in which no adult works – in which the weekday ritual of rising, dressing and leaving for gainful employment is entirely unknown. One-tenth of the adult population has done not a day's work since Tony Blair took office on May 1, 1997.

One of my neighbors was showing off his crossbow to me yesterday. An alternative for those who lack true archery skills.

As for me, I can hit the broad side of an aircraft carrier with a Remington 1917.

The Picture does not fit the Title. Was the auther too lazy ?

The bow looks more like a Hungarian recurve bow. The English long bow was not a recurve bow.

It is a recurve of some flavor. I believe the image is from the recent Robin Hood show, which would explain the inaccuracy of the bow.
