Suppose you were an anonymous blogger.

Suppose you wrote stuff some people didn't like.

Suppose you get an email from an unknown reader who congratulates you on your birthday and mentions your preschooler by his first name.

On the surface, the email I received was friendly enough – wishing me a happy belated birthday and mentioning my preschooler by first name. *PAUSE* Yes, my very sweet, very young child’s first name was staring back at me in an email from an unknown thug.

Suppose you close your blog.

Perhaps someone should ask Jesse Lee if this is his work.

...Although my own hypothesis is that it's a lone zealot who may soon find, to her dismay, that this type of action can work both ways.
