Back when I was teaching people how to pass the LSAT (Law School Aptitude Test, IIRC)* one of my students was a film school graduate who wanted to become a lawyer so he could make more money out of deals he was constructing for other people. Enyhoo...

We got to talking and he revealed there are only four or five plots available for stories. Perhaps our entertainment organs should be given a little leeway when it comes to remakes.

As at least some people on this forum know, creativity is hard.

*I know, I know! I was part of the problem. Look, I was young and I needed the money...

BTW, went to see the restored and remastered version a couple of months ago. Still a classic!

Blade Runner. My son bought it for me. Watched it yesterday. Still love it. Esp the moral of the story.
