A Comment On Heroin

I just got this comment on my repost of my article on heroin:
http://www.classicalvalues.com/archives ... eroin.html
In the past, I have often thought you were somewhat of a crank on drug legalization. But your link this morning to Dr. Shavelson is a revelation.
I have a brother in-law who is a long-term drug addict and who is suicidal. He has never gotten any meaningful treatment for his problems. And I now see somewhat that his pain must be severe.
I am sending this link to my sister.
Thank you.

A person turns their life into sh*t by using drugs, then claim to need the drugs to ease the pain of their life being sh*t.
It is like the
Menendez brothers pleading for mercy because they are orphans.

Ironically one experimental cure for Heroin addiction is hallucinogenics. Basically you have the addiction victim go through something profoundly different and more powerful than anything they have previously experienced, so that all that lead up to the opiate addictive state is rendered insignificant in comparison. Then you just don't keep using the Acid until you get a new addiction.

Ibogaine, methadone, I've even heard of LSD being used to beat heroin. Sometimes it works, it proves it`s not written in stone ``once an addict always an addict.``
