An old saying about duct tape and WD-40 goes something like this:
If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40.
If it moves and it shouldn't, use duct tape.
Now, someone has found a way for duct tape to grab some of WD-40's mojo: Experiment finally proves 100-year-old thought experiment is possible

I wonder given the nature of the device if this isn't a pressure gradient device.

I'd like to see the experiment done in "zero G".
