A real Problem

The fact that technical folk are poorly treated by comparison to other "professionals" is nothing new. It is so old that the Greek god of the smithy was the only god who was lame. And that seems to have been so because the common practice at the time was to lame the village blacksmith so they COULDN'T leave for greener pastures.

If it weren't for the fact that it is usually so dang fun, there wouldn't be any engineers.

Perhaps, but the more the "other professionals" get involved, the less fun it is, so they'd better keep their mitts off or civilization crumbles. :cry:

It is worse than even that. They have no idea what keeps civilization running and they won't miss it until it is gone.
